Burke Lake Park

Burke Lake is a gorgeous park that offers camping, picnic areas, fishing, rowboat rentals, outdoor sports areas, and an 18-hole golf course. That’s really just the tip of the iceberg because the park has much more, like: amphitheaters, a miniature train and carousel, a snack bar, and an ice cream parlor. Clemyjontri Park

The motto of Clemyjontri Park is “Where every child can play…” and that’s reflected in the unique playground. This playground was designed so that kids of all ages and abilities can play together. There are areas for kids in wheelchairs, kids with sensory disabilities, and more. Nonslip surfaces and ramps connect everything, openings are wide enough to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs, and everything is done in bright, cheery colors. Park equipment was designed to be tactile, interactive, and even educational. Clemyjontri is separated into four different areas, each with a different focus: The Rainbow Room (basic exercise/play), the Schoolhouse and Maze (educational games), the Movin’ and Groovin’ Transportation Area (creativity/imagination games), and Fitness & Fun (challenges for physical strength).

Great Falls Grange Park

The Great Falls Grange Park is set in the center of Great Falls and provides residents and visitors with facilities for baseball, softball, and picnics. It also includes the Great Falls Grange Hall. This hall, which was built in 1929, originally served as the town center for events and assemblies. Today, it can be rented for weddings, meetings, theatrical productions, and more. Next to the hall is the Old Schoolhouse that can also be rented out for smaller gatherings.

Nottoway Park

Nottoway Park offers tennis, volleyball, and basketball facilities, fitness trails, picnic and garden areas, as well as several peaceful nature trails. In addition to the usual activities that you can do at Nottoway, the park also hosts Nottoway Nights during the summer. These weekly free concerts include musical groups from across the country and, on occasion, even international musicians and acts. Nottoway Park is also home to Hunter House, an old winery that is available for private events.
