At Kales & Kales, we help couples resolve their divorce matters entirely through structured, out-of-court processes. One approach we use is divorce mediation, where spouses work with the co-mediation team of Jonathan and Amy Kales to work through issues and reach agreements on property division, spousal support, child custody, and child support. Collaborative divorce is another option, providing a structured, team-based approach when both spouses are represented by collaboratively trained attorneys.
Divorce Mediation
In divorce mediation, spouses make decisions together with guidance from our co-mediation approach. This model offers a private, supportive environment to address all aspects of the divorce while keeping control of decisions in the hands of the parties themselves.
Collaborative Divorce
Collaborative divorce is a team-based process for couples who choose this path. Each spouse is represented by a collaboratively trained attorney, and the team may also include a financial neutral, coach(es), and/or a child specialist, all working together to help the couple reach agreements outside of court.
How We Support Clients Through Mediation and Collaborative Divorce
Within either divorce mediation or collaborative divorce, we support clients to:
-
Work through issues and explore options
-
Facilitate productive discussions
-
Help spouses reach agreements that reflect their priorities and goals
All of this occurs within a structured, out-of-court framework, rather than through traditional settlement negotiations or litigation.
